About the event
In this intense three-day course students will explore the limitless processes of working with clay to create a representational self-portrait clay bust. In this course students will learn basic anatomy structure and proportion to create a realistic clay head in 3-dimensions. Upon completion of the class student work will be fired after they have sufficiently dried. Students will receive busts 3-4 weeks post class.
Steve A. Prince is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia. He is the Director of Engagement and Distinguished Artist in Residence at the Muscarelle Museum at William and Mary University. Prince received his BFA from Xavier University of Louisiana and his MFA in Printmaking and Sculpture from Michigan State University. Prince is a mixed media artist, master printmaker, lecturer, educator, and art evangelist.
